Joseph T. Castellucci 11/8/2012 Gloucester, MA / Beverly, MA

GLOUCESTER: Joseph T. Castellucci, 80, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 8, 2012, in the Addison Gilbert Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy F. (Caulk) Castellucci. Born in Medford on March 9, 1932, he was the son of the late Generine S. and Sabina (Galiazzo) Castellucci. He and Dorothy had resided in Beverly for forty years, prior to moving to Gloucester in 2011. As an automotive mechanic, Joe owned and operated M & J Truck Repair in Gloucester for twenty years. In keeping with his love of automobiles, Joe was a member of the Atlantic Auto Racing Association and enjoyed racing for over twenty years. He was a former commissioner, coach, administrator and member of the Beverly Pop Warner youth football program for 35 years. He was also very involved with the Little League for thirty years. In addition to his wife of fifty-nine years, he is also survived by his children, Mary Ellen, wife of Rick Lepage, Michael, husband of Deb Castellucci, Steven, husband of Cathy Castellucci, Joe, husband of Michele Castellucci, Robert, Castellucci, companion of Michele Croteau, Nancy, wife of Robert Hall, Deb, wife of Jon Kwong, David, husband of Lisa Castellucci, James Castellucci; a sister, Marie Harrison; and sister-in-law, Rose Castellucci; twenty-four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his grandson, Nathan Kwong; his brother, Thomas Castellucci and brother-in-law, Robert Harrison. His services will be held on Monday in the Calvary Chapel Baptist Church, 384 Washington Street, Gloucester at noon. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday afternoon in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 2 – 5 p.m. and also on Monday at the church prior to the service from 10 – 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Prayers of committal will be held on Tuesday in the North Beverly Cemetery, Beverly at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Day by Day, Adult Day Care, 4 Blackburn Center, Gloucester, MA or the Calvary Chapel Baptist Church, 384 Washington St., Gloucester, MA 01930.
